Well, I managed to call Charles Lazer, the co-writer of the last episode. He also was a creative producer of many episodes and did quite a lot work on the show for sure. I only spoke briefly with Mr. Lazer and told him about my plans for this website, which had not been complete yet. I managed to get some information over the phone as well as exchange emails. He was very nice and friendly and give me the following insight about what would have been planned for if the The Odyssey had been allowed to continue for another season. First, he confirmed that adults would have come pouring in through the hole in the wall and "all hell would have broken loose", as he put it, in the downworld. As well, the show would have continued following the growth of the kids (Jay and the others). He could not recall too much more off the top of his head. I also got a hold of Leila Basen, the other co-witer, via email and send her the same question She was also very friendly and kind.
I sent these five questions.
1) What would Jay do to punish Finger for blowing up the wall?
2) How would the down-world be affected by the end of the wall's division?
3) What would Jay's mother do with the information that her husband is still very much alive (no doubt the life insurance money she got would come into play)?
4) Would it be revealed in more detail why Jay's father faked his death?
5) And what of Alpha and Fractal? Are they an item?
This is as much as I can provide at this point. Please keep in mind that Mr Laser and Leila Basen are no doubt a very busy people, and I do not know if they will be able to reply to my email. However, if I get any response I will post all of the insights they gives me on this page, so check back regularly.
